The world invests a lot in “beauty”, specially on the manufacturing of an artificial impression of “beauty” based on skin colors, textures, shapes, body proportions, clothing patterns, etc. This is a multi billion dollar industry. This industry spans from cosmetic products to apparels and clothing to plastic surgeries to even gyms. What you want to look like is not a function of what you want but what the capitalism tells you you’re supposed to look like.

As a girl, you are no longer happy despite your man loving you, because deep down you believe you aren’t adequate. As a man, you can’t even appreciate your woman’s beauty without comparing to the beauty standards of some idolized model or actress or social media celebrities. You no longer exercise because it’s meaningful and healthy. You exercise because you have an idolized image of having a six pack or building a particular set of muscles so that you look like what all the girls have been conditioned to like in a man.
