A few bullet points here-
- Avoid extremes of any kind. Overindulgence in sex, food, sleep, wealth, fame, etc. leads to downfall, not success. Don’t avoid, don’t crave. Always take the middle path.
- Suffering ain’t always bad because it can lead to liberation.
- Meditation just means perfect rest. You can meditate even while walking.
- Practice mindfulness in everything. Mindful eating is healthy eating.
- When we have a toothache, we know that not having a toothache is happiness. But later, when we don’t have a toothache, we don’t treasure our non toothache. Practicing mindfulness helps us learn to appreciate the well-being that is already there. With mindfulness, we treasure our happiness.
- A silver bird flies over the autumn lake. When it has passed, lake’s surface does not try to hold on to the image of the bird.
